QUALITIES OF THOSE WHO CHASE GOD

6. They are prompt and complete in obedience.

“And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you”. 

Genesis 22:5, KJV

Abraham was so complete in obedience that he was ready to sacrifice Isaac. The blessings of obedience are boundless and immeasurable. When God is glorified by your obedience, he sees the level of value you place in your relationship with him. That is the true meaning of faith. You cannot say that you are practicing faith when you are walking in disobedience. You must be prompt and complete in obedience to the revealed will of God. The will of God is as enunciated in his word; align with it as well as the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Whatever God asks you to drop and you refuse to obey has become your portion. Whenever God asks you to drop anything, it is because he has something much better for you. May we not limit him in the name of Jesus Christ.

Pray –

• Lord, help me to be prompt and complete in obedience in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Help me to delight to do your will.
• Grant me grace to walk with you and the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Be my guide, in Jesus’ name.

7. They seek to do the will of God.

“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will but thine, be done”. 

Luke 22:42, KJV

“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”. 

John 4:34, KJV

Let this be our testimony. This was the reason why when God looked at Jesus, he said, this is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matt. 3:17). When God looks down upon us, may his face always beam with smile. May God endorse us. May he claim us and make us his delight in the name of Jesus Christ. May we be people who bring glory and honour to our Daddy in heaven in Jesus’ name.

Pray –

• Lord, make me a person that brings glory and honour to you in every aspect of my life in the name of Jesus.
• Help me, O God, to walk with you. Help me to bring glory and honour to your name.
• Grant me grace to delight to do your will. Make it my meat forever in Jesus’ name.
