THE FOUNDATION OF GIVING 1F

In places where this error is being practiced, they make the people lions and eagles. The Bible says be not deceived, whatsoever a man soweth so shall he also reap (Gal. 6:7). As long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease (Gen. 8:22). It is a very cheap theology which prepares you only for this place, it does not prepare you for heaven. It is not Theo-centric. Any faith that is not Theo-centric will end up in idolatry.

Anything you give that is not born out of your fanatical love for God is hay, wood, stubble. Study 1 Cor. 3:11-15, you will understand this better. The fact that you built twenty cathedrals does not make you a saint. God is more interested in the process; he is interested in who you are. The eternal bridegroom wants to see your countenance before he hears your voice (Songs. 2:14).

Enough is enough to these earthbound theologies that cannot raise spiritual Christians. The Church is far loosing relevance because instead of raising worshippers, we are raising workers. Every Church wants to raise workers. Today, people are being called into ministry by their pastors and not by God. It is not a promotion. Where is the call of God?

If you are not a true worshipper, you cannot raise worshippers. What you seek is what will eventually determine your destination and define your destiny.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” 

1 Timothy 6:10, KJV

The love of money will always conflict with the love of God. Money is the god of this world, there is a spirit behind the love of money called mammon. You cannot serve God and mammon, you cannot serve two masters (Matt. 6:24). Where a man’s treasure is, there his heart will be also (Matt. 6:21).

Every true worshipper is a natural giver. Study the story of Cornelius in Acts 10. He was a consummate worshipper but he needed to be saved. He gave God the best and God gave him and his household the greatest miracle – the miracle of salvation. This is how your seed sowing speaks for you. When you give worshipfully, heaven reacts; you sow up and the blessings of God come down.

The blessings of worship are boundless and immeasurable.

“Delight thyself also in the LORD and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” 

Psalm 37:4, KJV

Fall in love with God and see your desire become prayer answered.

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” 

Psalm 35:27, KJV

God has pleasure in the prosperity of his children. I don’t know of a father who does not want his children to be prosperous.

A true worshipper does not give grudgingly so he does not need any teaching on giving. He gives very cheerfully. It is a wonderful privilege to give to the King of the universe, the inexhaustible source of everything good. The blessings of true worship are generational. The way to destroy generational curse is to become a true worshipper. Lay your life on the altar. Money is the cheapest of the things you can give to God. How much of your money do you think God really needs?

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.”

Psalm 84:11, KJV

God is not going to withhold any good thing from you if you become a true worshipper. You don’t teach a true worshipper right living. You don’t teach a true worshipper fear of God, that is his life. You don’t teach a true worshipper to abstain from sin, the only place he can sin is where his Father cannot see him. You don’t teach a true worshipper faith, his faith is superior to the faith that is built on things – using God to get things which is modern day idolatry. His faith is built on fanatical love for God .
