GOLDEN KEYS FOR OVERCOMING YOUR ADVERSARIES II

The Bible says though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. And having in readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled (2 Cor. 10:3-5).

The Bible also describes the devil as the one who works in the children of disobedience. He is the originator of everything that is antithetical to the will of God. Obedience is one of the golden keys you need if you want to be successful. It is the key that unlocks all the gates of blessing. Remember that the essence of a key is to unlock a door.

The devil is not only a devourer, John 8:44 describes him as a liar and the father of lies. There are two fathers; the Father of light, the originator of all good and perfect gifts (James 1:17) in whom there is no variableness and shadow of turning. With God, there is no crookedness. Truth is simple, truth is clear, truth is consistent, truth explains all. Sanctify them by thy truth, thy word is truth (John 17:17). Truth does not beg the answer, truth is the answer. If you know the danger in collecting the evil seal of Lucifer, you will never tell lies again and you will hate lying with passion.

There is also the father of lies. Rev. 21:8, states that liars will end up in hell. May you never be found a liar in the name of Jesus. It is a very cheap sin, very common, very easy to catch but difficult to drop. Every liar is a loser. You must not engage in it if you don’t want to be a loser. This is because all liars eventually believe in their own lies and so they start living a lie. May you not live a life of lies in the powerful name of Jesus.

The devil is also described as the accuser of the brethren.

“And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”
Revelations 12:10, KJV

God expects his children to be overcomers.
