LET GOD BE MAGNIFIED V

How then do you magnify God?

1. Fall in love with God.

There is so much idolatry today even in the Church; everybody ‘wants to make it’. Even the Church wants to use God to make money. You need to be strong in the Lord but you cannot be strong in the Lord if you are not a true worshipper. That is the weakness of the prosperity message the way it is presented today. It does not produce any spiritual Christian, only idolaters. Give me your gold and I will make you a god! God is not interested in the money you bring to Church, he is interested in the process. He is interested in the spirit behind it. If the spirit is not right, no matter the millions you bring, it will not attract any blessing.

When Simon the Sorcerer saw how the people of Samaria received the Holy Spirit after Peter and John had prayed and laid hands on them, he offered them money so that he too can bestow the Holy Spirit, “But Peter said unto him, “Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money” (Acts 8:20).

Miracle seekers don’t make good disciples. Discipleship is deeper; it requires discipline, followership. The prescription for being a disciple of Jesus Christ is the cross. Take up the cross daily and follow him. If you want God to be magnified in the world today, you cannot do without the cross.

2. Obedience.
If you want God to be magnified in your life, shift your obedience level from partial obedience to complete obedience. The problem with the partially obedient is that they think that they are obedient. Your miracle will meet you on the wings of your obedience.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.”
Deuteronomy 28:1, KJV
“And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them.”
Deuteronomy 28:13, KJV

The Lord shall make you the head and not the tail because you are complete in obedience.

Today, everyone wants to be the head without heeding the verse 1. Your being the head is predicated on complete one hundred percent obedience.
