HEAVEN – HEADQUARTERS OF LIGHT
- By God’s deliberate design, we cannot know how heaven is completely right now because his beauty and glory far exceed our expectations but we are given a foretaste, just a glimpse. From the heavenly encounters that I have had, I can tell you categorically that heaven is more real than this earth. The reason why some people miss heaven is because they never even believed that heaven is real. If you are so earthbound and are tied down here, there is no how you can fly. Attachment to things down here will make a lot of people miss heaven. It is good to have things but it is not good at all for things to have you. Your social cords, business cords, your political and familial cords can bring you down. Where is your affection? Where a man’s treasure is, that is where his heart will be also. Matt. 6:21. 1 Cor. 2:9-10, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God”. The reason why many people are so earthbound is because they have not tasted heaven. Rev. 21:5, says “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful”. Dominion flows from him that sits upon the throne; the glory of his presence will overwhelm and drive away every darkness. 1 John 3:2-3, “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure”. It is your responsibility to purify yourself. Many people preach the message of easy believism, saying that once you are saved, you are already in heaven. This is not true. Such people preach that grace is a licence to sin. True grace is never a licence to sin, true grace is an empowerment to do the right thing; to love God, to serve him, to walk hand in hand with him so that his purpose will be fulfilled in our lives. God gives that empowerment if we trust him to. True grace is an empowerment to say ‘no’ to defilement because to be defiled is to be destroyed. Deal with defilement in your heart because defilement invites demons and any where demons operate, their agenda is to steal, to kill and to ultimately destroy.
- Heaven is a place of absolute comfort and joy. All our earthly sorrow and pains will become nothing at all compared with the glories of heaven. Isa. 65:17, “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind”. Rev. 21:3-4 says, “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away”. Heaven is sorrow-free and death-free; that is why we must make it there. 2 Cor. 4:16-18 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal”. Isa. 51:11, “Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away”. Heaven is full of joy and we can download some of the blessings of heaven right here and now. We don’t need to die before we start downloading some of the blessings of heaven.
