DAY 5

If you want to see the wonders of God, sanctify yourself. Psa. 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”

Ezek. 36:25-27 “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you and ye shall be clean: from all filthiness, and from all your idols,………..”

This is the wonderful design of God for his children whom he wants to lift and bring to a point where they can have fellowship with him in spirit and truth. This is the reason why God has designed this and he is the one who will take the initiative. Anyone who wants to approach God must know that he is coming to a thrice holy God. We must approach him according to his own terms not ours. God is holy, righteous and so wise that he has designed a way to clean us up so that we can be thoroughly clean and so that our spiritual frequency will vibrate and resonate with that of heaven. When you begin to operate at this level, you will become unstoppable and this is what fasting should do for us. By breaking the carnal barriers, fasting sanitizes the spirit man by cleaning us up. Fasting not only sanitizes but sensitizes us so that we can begin to walk by divine signals. When you walk by divine signals, miracles are inevitable.

Those who walk in sweatless victories operate some deep principles which we are going to take a look at right now. When you put these principles (though very simple) to use, you will discover that every decision has a price and thereafter, you will begin to drop some of the things you are holding on to. This will position you for seasons of blessing that God has scheduled for your life. Whatever the Lord speaks to your heart to drop, please, don’t hesitate because he has something better for you. Many years back, a missionary from a remote place came to minister at our local Church and he said he needed a guitar to aid his evangelism in that remote village. As he was still saying this, the Lord spoke to me to release my box guitar to him. I struggled with this for a while because the guitar was a very precious gift from a friend. Eventually I obeyed and released it but I later realized that the missionary had left with a guitar given by someone else so my guitar was dumped in the local Church. The lesson here is that it is not enough to be obedient, there is need for you to be prompt in obedience. Don’t ever ask God to speak to you if you have made up your mind to be selective in obedience. Your obedience is a seed.

The heart is the engine room where miracles are not only designed, fabricated and manufactured but also released. That is why you need to allow God sprinkle the cleansing water to perform that necessary surgery to remove the heart of stone which rebels against the instructions that will benefit you. Over the years, I have come to realize that man’s greatest enemy is man himself. In Isa. 59:1-2, God said his hands can be tied by our iniquity. This is the disconnection; iniquity disconnects us from the blessings of God. The bible says whoever covers his sin shall not prosper (Prov. 28:13).

Lay your hand on your heart and pray – Lord, please help me, you have promised in your word to give me a brand new and perfect heart, please give me a perfect heart, remove the heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. Sprinkle your cleansing water and remove every trace of iniquity from my heart. Help me O, Lord, in any way, that I have been an enemy of my own self and levelling false accusations against others, I am sorry, please forgive me. Help me O Lord, as I receive your cleansing and a perfect heart, thank you Lord, in Jesus name.

Jer. 33:8 says, “And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity,….” Pray – Lord, I thank you for your promise to pardon and cleanse every iniquity that is in me, I celebrate your faithfulness, I celebrate your goodness and mercy. I thank you and I receive pardon for your word is true. Blessed be your name. The great objective of the Messiah was to sanctify his people; God sent his Son to sanctify us.

1 John 3:8 says, “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil.” The devil propagates his works through sin. The reason why I run away from sin is because I know the consequence and I don’t want to be a casualty. You need to understand that any sin you commit gives the enemy a legal basis to come and operate. Break every handshake with the devil and renounce every hidden work of darkness including anything that gives the enemy a foothold in your life.

Pray – I belong to Jesus therefore I renounce every hidden work of darkness. I break anything that gives the enemy a legal hold over my life in the name of Jesus. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil, Father, let every work of the devil associated with my life be utterly destroyed right now. Every transaction that has tied me to the root of idolatry, be destroyed right now. Anything that is contrary to the purpose of God in my life, be destroyed right now. Every evil programme that the enemy has written concerning my destiny, be destroyed right now. Every evil legislation, every unscriptural prayer ever made against me or against any member of my family, be destroyed right now. Anything the enemy has set in motion to work against your purpose for my life, O God, let it be utterly destroyed right now by the thunder of your power. Let the voice of God thunder and silence every voice of the adversary, every voice of contention, every voice of idolatry, every voice of witchcraft and every voice that is speaking contrary to the purpose of God concerning my life including the voice of evil medical report, in the name of Jesus.

Zech. 13:1 “In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David….”  One of the very deep things that walking closely with God has taught me is the need to ‘clean up’. Cleanliness, they say, is next to godliness. It is very easy to get contaminated in the environment where we operate. Demons love dust and operate better in a dirty spiritual environment. May God build inside us a high level of sensitivity against anything that is defiled or that is defiling. May you never be comfortable in a polluted environment in Jesus name. This is the true meaning of holiness – holiness is nothing but loving God and loving what he loves and hating what he hates. To be defiled is to be de-robed. Zech. 3:1-3. Because Joshua the High Priest was defiled, the enemy came to stand at his right hand to resist him but God intervened.

Pray – Lord, please remove every filthy garment that I am putting on and clothe me through the blood of Jesus with the garments of righteousness, dignity, honour, majesty and strength. Lord, clothe me with the attire of godliness, thank you Lord, in Jesus name.

Matt. 1:21, “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”. That was the reason why Jesus came. The greatest miracle still remains the miracle of salvation and we should optimize the blessings of salvation. Pray – Thank you Jesus, you are my Saviour, you are the owner of my life, I ask for the fullness of the blessings of salvation, let it be manifest in every facet of my life, thank you Jesus.

Titus 2:13-14 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ … and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” Anywhere you find defilement, there is wickedness and that is why demons thrive in such an environment. Pray – Jesus, I thank you for your ministry of purification, let it produce results in my life, deliver me from every work of darkness in the name of Jesus. Dismantle and destroy every wicked work operating in my life, terminate the operation of wicked forces in my life, family and ministry in the name of Jesus.

Eph. 5:25-27 “Husbands, love your wife wives,..”  Don’t ever forget that Jesus loves you deeply; he has secured so much for you and he is cleansing you. This scripture is very deep. Husband is not a title but a ministry. If you don’t understand the purpose of marriage, how can you fulfil it? Declare this – Jesus loves me so much that he not only gave his life for me, he wants to cleanse me, nourish me and display me so that I may show forth his glory. The family is the smallest unit of the Church so you need to get it right from there. One of the reasons why God established marriage is so that this scripture might be fulfilled. This scripture should make you fall in love with Christ and if you are in love with God, you will love his presence because love is not passive.

Pray – Jesus, I celebrate your love, I celebrate what you are doing in my life right now – working in me, cleansing me, helping me, purifying me so that I will be what you want me to be. Thank you, Jesus. I give you glory in Jesus name.

Rom. 11:26-27 “And so all Israel shall be saved … for this is my covenant with them, when I shall take away their sins.” Lord, I thank you for your covenant with me, I ask you in the name of Jesus, take away every trace of ungodliness far away from my life and from every member of my family in the name of Jesus.

1 John 1:7-9 “But if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another … and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Purity is power. Any time you see the devil manifesting near you, it is because he wants to rubbish you and cut short the glory. There are agents of defilement all over the place even in your dreams, their intention is to defile and abort your blessings. Get angry in spirit and reject it. Don’t go to bed like a civilian; saturate your life and dreams with the blood of Jesus. Don’t ever go to bed with an unconfessed sin in your life.

Pray –Father, look upon my life, search through my record, is there any unconfessed sin, I confess that unconfessed sin in my life and I ask for forgiveness, please forgive me. You know every sin I have not confessed before, heavenly father, please forgive me as I confess right now and cleanse me from every unrighteousness. Thank you, Lord, in Jesus name.

1 Thes. 5:23-24 “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly … faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” May the Lord God purify us, preserve and sanctify us and keep us unto his coming. May the Lord God sanctify us body, soul and spirit and preserve us unto his eternal kingdom in Jesus name. Lord, we thank you because our destinies are secured in you. Amen.
