WORD FOR TODAY

TOTAL LIBERATION FROM FEAR

“For as many are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption whereby we cry Abba, Father.” (Romans 8:14 – 15 KJV

Fear is an acronym for false evidence appearing real. It is a very negative emotional feeling capable of crippling initiative. Fear has no substance. It is like a mirage. Yet it has a magnetic nature. Those who magnify fear usually magnetise it. Hear the confession of Job:

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me” (Job 3:25 KJV)

May this not be your testimony in Jesus Name.

Fear is the police of the devil. He sends it to arrest your peace and joy. Fear is the opposite of faith, that is why it blocks the flow of the supernatural. When you fear you are in bondage. It makes you imagine things that are not real. Fear makes people lose the battle before the fight. A person who is fearful has surrendered to the enemy.

Fear steals, fear kills, and fear destroys. Fear paralyses the hand of hope. Timidity is one way fear manifests. Cowards die many times before their death. The only people who are rewarded in heaven are overcomers. It is folly to trivialise fear, because the fearful will end up in hell. According to Revelations 21:8;

“But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death”

Yes, God classifies the fearful with the abominable, murderers, whoremongers and sorcerers etc.

Fear has its origin in the Garden of Eden, when man fell. The greatest antidote to fear is the presence of God. Like the psalmist you can say:

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me” (Psalm 23:4 KJV)

“The lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear, the lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1 KJV)

The first step towards a life of total liberation from fear is reconnecting to God through his Son Jesus Christ. John 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
