WALKING IN THE ANOINTING FOR BETTER THINGS 2C

The thing that Daniel resolved not to do was a simple thing. Many people preach easy believism telling people that what matters does not matter. Do you know that the decision of Daniel was an attribute of worship? God, you are holy, I cannot take this, I am reverencing you because of the value I place on my relationship with you, I know that I can take this food but because of the value I place on my relationship with you, I will not take what has been offered to another god. Heaven took note. When you take such a decision, heaven will marvel and ensure that you are going to be different from others. May we take this decision this year. The fact that everybody is doing what’s not right does not mean you should do it! Do you want to be everybody? Decide not to be an average person this year.

To be ten times better means when others are average, you are outstanding. It is an attribute of worship; ‘worth-ship’. How much is your God worth? Don’t commonize God this year, be one of those that will magnify God in your heart in the time that you give him, in the things you do when nobody is there with you. Someone may say, how about what Jesus has done in the New Testament?Jesus hates iniquity and loves righteousness according to Psalm. 45:3-9 (TLB): “Gird your sword on your side, you mighty one; clothe yourself with splendor and majesty in your majesty ride forth victoriously in the cause of truth, humility and justice; let your right hand achieve awesome deeds. Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet. Your throne of God will last forever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad. Daughters of kings are among your honoured women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.”

Pray –

  • Lord, bestow upon me your wonderful virtues of truth, humility and righteousness in the mighty name of Jesus. Multiply your grace O God, for truth, humility and righteousness in my life in the name of Jesus.
  • Stretch your right hand and pray – Lord, may this right hand display awesome deeds this year in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, strengthen my right hand this year to display awesome deeds in Jesus name.
  • As we are connected to the King of kings, the Lord strong and mighty, may all nations bow and worship him this year in Jesus name.

It is unfortunate that the Church that should hate wickedness sometimes frolics with it and that is why things are upside down. It is not enough to love God and stop there. You need to love what God loves and hate what God hates. All over the place today, you hear about hate speeches and the like. Do you know that hating is part of Christianity? You don’t know holiness if you frolic with wickedness; you may be a holiness preacher but the moment you begin to fraternize with the wicked, your holiness evaporates. You become like them.
