WALKING IN THE ANOINTING FOR BETTER THINGS 5C
The essence of having money is to abound in good works. May God bless you and make you a channel of blessing in the name of Jesus. The essence of being blessed is not so that you can hoard, the essence is to make you a blessing. When God is blessing you, it is to make you a better person, it is to transform you to produce a thankful person, a person who acknowledges God with all his heart. Every blessing that comes your way should draw you closer to God and make you more thankful and more benevolent. It should make you more dependent on him. But what do we have? There is the tendency to get more and more alienated from God as blessing increases.
For some, when they are seeking for a miracle, they are ready to do everything in line with God’s word; they are usually closer to God. But immediately they get that miracle, the big man in them appears. What they really love is a God to use. They want the hand of God and not His face; they want a God that will bless them and not a God to worship. They have other things they want to worship. This is the problem. May God deliver us from every misplaced value in the name of Jesus. May the grace of God draw you closer to him in the name of Jesus. May the blessings of God make you a better person and make you a more thankful person and destroy the mystery of ingratitude in the name of Jesus.
It is so easy to make other gods out of the little blessings that God gives. God gave the children of Israel gold to build him a tabernacle, a place of worship when they get to the Promised Land. But what did they do with the gold? They used it to build another ‘god’ in the wilderness when Moses was in the presence of God on the mountain. Why is it so easy for man to create a god? Every trace of idolatry is an evil seal that takes you far away from God. Seals talk about ownership; every evil seal will take you down to the owner of the evil seal.
Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give unto your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Giving is not optional. It is obligatory; it is actually a command. It is from the mouth of Christ. Everyone is subject to the law of sowing and reaping. Anything you cannot release in order to do the will of God has become your idol. May we learn to sacrifice our Isaac so that God will release his incredible blessings upon us in the name of Jesus. God is asking you to give not because he is in need but because he loves you. Before he asks you to release that thing, it means he has something better for you. Anytime a farmer plants a seed, he schedules a new season of harvest. Anytime you plant a seed, you schedule a season of harvest. The worst thing that can happen to you is to withhold your seed because any seed that you ought to plant that you withhold has become your harvest. I have come to realize that the seeds we plant when it is not convenient are the most potent seeds that produce the highest yields.
