DECISIONS THAT WILL SUBSTANTIALLY REVOLUTIONIZE YOUR LIFE 2C
The following decisions will dramatically transform your life:
- Decision to be complete in obedience. 2 Cor. 10:3-6, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” The weapons of our warfare are not carnal because we are not fighting physical/carnal warfare. Any time you start fighting a carnal warfare, you are missing it. That is not what we are called to fight and that is why every ‘civil war’ is a useless war. If flesh and blood is your enemy then you have not properly defined your enemy. The weapons of our warfare are tremendous and are made mighty through God. It is our divine connection that makes the weapons of our warfare mighty. As long as the divine connection remains intact, the weapons will continue to be mighty unto pulling down strongholds and devastating the enemy. But you need to be skilled in the application of these weapons. You may carry a very dangerous weapon but if you don’t know how to use it, you may end up blasting yourself. What makes your connection perfect is the degree of your obedience. This is the greatest need of anyone who wants to walk closely with God. Partial obedience is a form of disobedience and I have discovered that those who are partial in obedience always think that they are obedient. But there are certain manifestations which no one can experience until that person’s obedience is complete. There are certain victories you cannot attain until your obedience is complete. God knows it when your obedience is complete.
John 14:23, “Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” In other words, that person will become a mobile ark. The technical aspect of this scripture is keeping the commandment. Anywhere you see the word ‘if’ in the Bible, it is a decision point. Some people think that the Bible is a book of destinies, No! The Bible is a book of decisions that is why you have about 321 ‘ifs’ in the Bible. If you play your part, God will play his own part, if you fulfill your part, God automatically takes over. Where does disobedience come from?
Disobedience comes from the carnal will of man. It comes from the unregenerated will of man, the will of man in union with the snake – the serpent in the garden. That is what produces stubbornness, that is what produces disobedience and rebellion; that is what produces disdain, delusion, deception, distraction and that is what produces destruction. Disobedience can be very destructive and the worst destruction is self-destruction. Every tragedy in life can be traced to an instruction not obeyed, in order words, instruction disobeyed. One of the Sisters in the fellowship is alive today because her husband was ‘foolish enough’ to obey a very simple instruction to anoint his wife with anointing oil after she suddenly passed out. She is alive and well today, to the glory of God.
Another Sister put a call across to me that her neighbour had just died but that they were still praying over her. After praying with her on the phone, what I received was that the dead girl should be given water to drink. Immediately after giving the instruction the enemy came and whispered to me ‘how can they give water to a dead girl?’, I quickly shut down the voice knowing what the enemy was trying to do. I forgot about the incident. When next I saw the Sister, she told me how she was able to force the mouth of the dead girl open being a nurse in training and that the water stayed in the girl’s mouth for hours. The water never went down but they kept on praying until all of a sudden the girl sneezed and came back to life. The girl told them that she had gone very far. All glory to God.
