SEVEN VITAL KEYS FOR SUCCESS IN THE WILDERNESS II

This life is a wilderness and that is why it is fraught with battles. The wilderness is not a tamed place, it is a place where things grow wildly, it is not a controlled environment. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of transformation in line with the purpose of God. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of beauty, life, truth, grace, glory, sanctification, separation and of holiness.

The Holy Spirit does not tolerate impunity. He is the spirit of righteousness and the spirit of the wisdom of God which is superior to any other wisdom you can find in the world. That is why it is wrong to throw away the wisdom of God in pursuit of the wisdom of the world. The wisdom of the world is sensual, carnal and earthbound. The one that comes from above is above all.

There are certain keys that you need if you are going to have comprehensive success in the wilderness of life. A disciple is a disciplined follower of Jesus Christ. If you follow his footsteps, you will not miss it. He had comprehensive success while on earth. There are certain things that Christ practiced while he was here on earth. The Bible says “he began to teach and to do.” Jesus Christ lived the word he taught, he lived by example. May we be like him in the name of Jesus. That is the greatest thing anyone can be.

Luke 3:21-22, “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” In this scripture, we can find about three keys:

a. Water Baptism

b. Prayer

c. Holy Spirit

Luke 4:1-4, “And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Jesus quoted this scripture from Deut. 8:3. Jesus was able to quote what was written because he knew the word.

Pray –

  • Heavenly Father I thank you for the privilege of knowing you. I ask you to help me to be a worthy ambassador of Jesus Christ your eternal son here on earth in Jesus, name. Amen.
