DOMINION OVER DEFILEMENT (B)

I get excited each time I study the life of Daniel. Every exploit he performed was as a result of the quality decision he took. It takes quality decision to follow God. I marvel when I see people who think Christianity is child’s play; they make their walk with God secondary. Where are true worshippers?

A lot of people are not placing value on the things that have eternal value – the things of God. They rather place more value on other things. Literally, that is idolatry of the highest order. Whatever you place side by side God in your heart is your idol. God hates it. This is one of the reasons why some people pray without receiving an answer. Idolatry is a vertical sin and that is why God hates and crushes it. It is a violation of his command which enjoins us to love him with all our heart, with all our mind and with all our soul, with our all. We need to keep reminding ourselves of this.

God wants our one hundred percent devotion. Those who operate at fifty percent may think that they are doing well, but the truth is that they are not. God cannot change his absolutes. You are either one hundred percent with him or you are not! Unfortunately, this truth is no longer being emphasized. Only eight people were saved during the time of Noah, meditate on this.

Dan. 1:8, “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” I want you to take a purposeful decision to serve God.

Pray

• Lord, this year, make it impossible for me to be defiled. I purpose in my heart, please help me in Jesus name.

A lot of people will be busy sharing booties when the trumpet shall sound and they will discover that they cannot fly because they are too busy. No one can go far with excess luggage. People are busy gathering things that they should drop while time is ticking. Anything that your heart is tied to is enough to pull you down; whatever your heart is tied to in this earth is enough to make you earthbound. We need to break away from earth bound Christianity so that we can operate at the frequency of heaven and fly on the wings of the Holy Ghost.

Holy Spirit is holy. He is the spirit of holiness. The reason we need purity is because purity is power. Anything that is tainted with impurity cannot gain access to where we are going. I want you to purpose in your heart that you are not going to be defiled.

Pray

• Heavenly Father, I purpose in my heart that I am not going to be defiled. Keep me from every form of defilement in the name of Jesus. Make it impossible for me to be contaminated. Anything that is capable of contaminating me, today, I break away from it. I declare that as far as the east is separated from the west, so let the blood of Jesus separate me from it in the powerful name of Jesus.
• Help me, O God, to be amenable to the frequency of heaven in the name of Jesus. When the trump will sound, may I not miss the sound of the trumpet, may I not be busy chasing ‘rat’ in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Grant me grace to be tuned to the frequency of heaven.
• Help me, O God, by your spirit to leave above the corruption that is in this world which works through lust in the name of Jesus. I renounce lust. Anything that is capable of entrapping me and making me earthbound, Lord, in the name of Jesus, I renounce it. I break loose from it in the powerful name of Jesus.
• Grant me comprehensive dominion over the things that bind, hinder, fetter and do not want me to be all that you want me to be in the name of Jesus.
• I ask you, O God, to do a thorough work in me. Cleanse me inside out, purify me inside out by your spirit in the name of Jesus.
• Let all your agents of purification collaborate to make me clean in the name of Jesus. Thank you blessed Lord, in Jesus mighty name I pray.
