Things that God cannot do

13. God cannot tempt anyone with evil.
Some people actually say that God is testing them with evil. James 1:13-14, “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man. But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.” There are so many things that some people do on their own and when it fails, they turn to blame God. One of the titles of the devil is the tempter as well as the accuser of the brethren. There are two classes of married women – the first group is called home builders. They are wise. The second category is called case builders. Are you a case builder? Case builders convert their homes into a court and then become the judge. May you not be an accuser of the brethren in the name of Jesus. The Bible says, a wise woman builds her home while the foolish pull it down with her own hands (Prov 14:1).

14. God cannot withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly. Conversely, he cannot bless anything that is crooked.
Psa. 84:11, “For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” I have had visits from women who want me to pray for God to prosper their husbands’ fraudulent businesses. Pastors should be very careful otherwise their congregation will lead them to hell. The reverse should be the case, the pastor is supposed to lead the congregation to heaven, the congregation should not lead the pastor to hell! If you allow your congregation to lead you, you will end up in hell. Never you sit under the ministry of anyone who cannot correct you. Correction is not always very pleasant. The rod is for correction. Some members accuse their pastors of being judgmental; if you don’t judge sin, sin will kill and destroy.

15. God cannot give an imperfect gift.
James 1:17, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” All terrible and imperfect gifts come from the father of lies. (John 8:44).

Any ministry that does not tell you the dangers of sin, that is not grounded in the word of God and that is not leading you to dig deep  cannot really prepare you for heaven. When you are not growing in your walk with God, there is danger because if you are not growing up, you are actually going down. There is no stagnation in the things of the spirit. If you follow the spirit of anything goes, you will end up nowhere.

At the end of the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, there were only one hundred and twenty disciples left. Where were the others? Think about it.  It is not every Church goer that will end up being in the bride of Christ. In this ministry, we preach the bride’s message which is highly intolerant of crookedness. We are not politicians. We are not gathering crowd. We are raising disciples and I can testify that God has been faithful.

PRAYER

• Bring repentance on anyone who has strayed from the path of righteousness. Ask God for mercy.
• Lord, is there any error in my theology? Deliver me, help me Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
