FROM THIS DAY 3A
I enjoin you never to allow your environment to dampen your spiritual fervor – bad news in the environment, the unsatisfactoriness of things, high inflation rates, all the lies of politicians, and so on. The Bible says, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Rom. 8:37). You need the conqueror’s mentality. You need to saturate your environment with the word of God, and with the presence of God.
One of the easiest ways to beat the devil hands down is to raise an altar of praise. Keep not silent. Make sure that you are not silent because if you do, you will buy the lies of the devil which is what he wants. It doesn’t take time to paint the picture of woes in the mind of people who allow him to do so.
One of the terrible things the devil is doing right now is to get more and more people into depression. A simple definition of depression is – a state of hopelessness. How does it start? The devil comes to tell someone that there is no hope for the person. The person on receiving that lie, believes it, internalizes it, and processes it until the lie becomes so real to the person. The other spirits that come with depression then set in. Depression is the spirit of the valley and before long the spirit of suicide enters.
The spirit of suicide is one of the terrible spirits that go together with depression. The spirit starts whispering to the person and asking, “what are you living for?” But as children of God, we do not only have hope we have what is called a lively hope. We have a qualified hope called a blessed hope in Christ Jesus. As such, the devil has no power over us, no right to mesmerize us unless we allow him.
This is not the time to disconnect from the presence of God. The devil loves to disconnect people from where they will receive help, blessing and fire of the presence of God. He loves to isolate people. After disconnection comes isolation.
I have seen a lot of things in my walk in the ministry of deliverance spanning over three decades. That is one of the reasons why I always cry out when I see certain things. I sometimes find it difficult to convey some of these things to ordinary eyes. There are deep rooted problems in the lives of many people and it takes pure fire of God’s presence to address them.
Pure fire does not come easy; it comes through spending quality time in the presence of God. If you make and break, you will get hot and get cold. The power of connection is the greatest power the Church has. The devil knows this and that is why he works to ensure that he disconnects as much people as he can. Today, there are very few places you can find pure fire, undiluted. It takes grace. We need to be casting out devils. The Church is not doing enough of this and that it is why it would appear that the kingdom of darkness has taken over the realm.
