SANCTIFY YOURSELF 3E

God is not only interested in your action, he is more interested in your reaction. The crime is not in falling but in failing to rise. Rev. 3:19, “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” This is the message for the Church. If you do not acknowledge that you are dirty, you will smell to hell. Sin causes people to stink in the realm of the spirit. That is the reason why wise people flee from it. If you remove holiness, there is no more Christianity. Christianity makes sense only in the context of holiness. True holiness is, loving God and going out of your way to please him. True holiness is loving God, loving what he loves and hating what he hates.

Some people say that I am judgmental. Yes! I hate demons with perfect hatred.

  • I hate them because of what they do in the life of those whom I love. If you don’t hate demons, you cannot be in deliverance ministry.
  • I hate demons because Jesus hates them.
  • I hate them because God hates them.
  • I hate them because they are agents of defilement.
  • I hate them because they stink in the realm of the spirit.
  • I hate them because they make people who collaborate with them sink. You cannot collaborate with demons and expect to move up.

Jesus said as many as I love I rebuke. That is true love. True love rebukes. True love chastens. True love will not give you what will kill you. That is one of the reasons why when you ask God for some things, he will say no because he knows that you don’t have what it takes to handle them.

Prov. 13:24, “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” What this scripture is saying essentially is that if you love someone, you should correct him or her. Your response to correction determines the type of person you are and how far you are ready to be led.

When my daughter was much younger, I had cause to spank for the very first time. She was shocked! She never believed that I could do that. Her reaction afterwards, however, melted my heart. After weeping for a while, she came to me and said, Daddy, I’m sorry! I was so touched. I drew her closer and embraced her. Today, a lot of people do not wish to be corrected. When they go to Church, they are only ready to receive what they want to hear. If a message that touches their heart is preached, they prefer to take a walk, instead of making necessary adjustments. May that not be your portion in the mighty name of Jesus.

Pray –

  • Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for the privilege of knowing you. I know yOu truly love me. Grant me the grace to yield completely to the guidance of your word and the precious Holy Spirit in every aspect of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
