QUALITIES OF THOSE WHO CHASE GOD

1. They love God CONT’D

The greatest revival that is taking place today in the world is not revival of Christianity, it is the revival of primitive idolatry. You can be an idolater even in a big cathedral. In the past, you can find idolaters only in shrines but not so today, you can find a lot of them in cathedrals. How did we get there? There is perversion. Idolatry is perversion of worship. Wherever you find the love of God perverted, you will produce idolaters. Wherever love is perverted, you produce LUST. That is one of the dangerous things that came out of the prosperity message.

If you are not raising worshippers, you will end up raising idolaters. If you make money the bottom line of the Church, then you are an idolater. The same thing happened in the Old Testament when Aaron told the children of Israel – give me your gold and I will make you a god! It is so easy to pervert worship and think that you are still standing. Of course, there is need for money everywhere, even in ministry; a lot of people are in need. It is so easy to drift. What are you lusting after? That is the banana peel that the devil has set to make you a captive of his kingdom. He is winning a lot of souls even in the Church. Many of the messages today are not preparing people for the soon coming King. Jesus said, seek ye first! Is God your first pursuit or do you use him as an appendage? If only people know how desperately they need God, they will re-prioritize. Where are you going to spend eternity? Eternity is too serious to be left to chance.

Pray –

• Keep me as the apple of your eyes and guide me. Help me to love you above all else. Let the love that I have for you continue to grow, let it wax stronger and stronger as this age progresses in the name of Jesus.
• I depend on you, Jesus, I have never walked this path before. It is only what you did on the cross that will take me home. Uphold me, lead me. You are my ticket for the rapture. Keep me rapture ready all the time, all the way. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
