EMPOWERED TO LIVE ABUNDANTLY II

Everything we do should draw us closer and closer to deeper and deeper relationship with God.

Easter is not and was never a Christian festival. It has a pagan origin. If you study Church history, you will marvel at the level of infiltration and distortions that have crept in. Glory be to God for the platform he has given us which we are using to correct a lot of things. There is a stirring up all over the nations of the world, the Spirit is moving; people are thirsty and hungry for the real word and not superficial word, not the word that prepares you for this place but the word that prepares you for the soon coming King, the bride’s message.

Many people talk about grace, many preach it but how many people live it? How many have experienced it?

We must continue to lift up people who go to Church today. We are seeing the scriptures fulfilling very fast. The love of many is waxing colder and colder. Why? It is because they love other things more than they love God. That is exactly what the Bible predicted and it is happening very fast. I pray that it does not happen in your life.

It is a very terrible signal when you notice that the things of God no longer excite you. It is an indication that something has gone wrong deeply. You need to cry out to God in prayer in order to get yourself back on track. You need to know the things that can trigger up the old man in you. If you realize the danger in allowing the old man to operate, you will always try to bring him down especially in a very idolatrous environment.

Self – it is so easy to be full of self and once you begin to do that, Christ will not be formed in you. It is easy to preach messages with intellectual knowledge and people will be carried away. People will celebrate your eloquence and grandiloquence but no life will be transformed because there can only be life in what the Spirit has breathed upon.

The difference between the carnal man, the unregenerated mind and the regenerated mind is that the unregenerated does everything to please self, self aggrandizement. The regenerated mind does everything to please God. Everything the regenerated mind does is to the glory of God. John 4:34, “Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work”. That is Jesus Christ and that is the pattern – to do the will of God and to finish, not only that but also to depend on him every day. And that was why Jesus told us that the number one prescription for anyone who wants to follow him is that you must learn to deny self and not promote it. I have never seen anywhere in the Bible where Jesus said you should promote self.
