2024/2025 OPERATION 18-18 – (THERE SHALL BE NO MORE CURSE II)

Search yourself, from the beginning of the year till date, take stock of the places where you erred because to err is human, to forgive divine. Come to God, naked; lay your heart before him just like the Psalmist did. Every word of that Psalm was written from this heart. Every repentant sinner is qualified for the mercy of God. Sin sinks. Sin stinks. Repentance takes you from sinking position to the pent house, to the pinnacle, to sitting together because we have a loving merciful Father. All he requires of us is true repentance from the heart. The Bible says if we say we have not sinned we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive all our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8-9).

Pray –

• Father, today, just as I am, I stretch to you. I open my heart; search through my heart, anything you find in me that makes you sad, please wipe it away.
• Cleanse me from secret faults. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart always be acceptable in your sight.
• Have mercy on me. Search my heart. Is there anything you find that is not right? Father, roll it away. Test my thoughts, is there anything there that should not be found in the heart of a child of God? Father, wipe it away with the precious blood of your dear Son, Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus.
• Cleanse me from secret faults – covert and overt faults. Father, purify me, thank you Lord, in Jesus name.

There are two power ingredients for repentance – honesty and humility. It takes humility to say, “I am sorry”. This is lacking in those who go to Church today. They end up cheating themselves because the moment you turn away from the revealed will of God, it is welcome to darkness. There are consequences for sin.

A lot of people trivialize sin. Sin is a destroyer, a thief, a neutralizer of efforts and blessings. Sin is deadly. Sin leads to dethronement and debasement. It makes the glory to come short. It took God coming down from heaven to die on the cross by shedding his sinless blood for the remission of sin. One sin brought all the tragedy in the world today. Wherever you find sin, you cannot find blessing. This is no longer being taught. Rather, they are teaching grace as if it is a licence to sin. It is not! True grace is an empowerment to live above sin, supernatural empowerment to have dominion over sin based on what Christ has done for us.

It takes grace to run away from sin. Grace does not make you to sin, it makes you to come out of it, it makes you to say No, the only place I can commit sin is where God cannot see me! We no longer have this kind of people. The people we have today are those who grab it, snatch it and run with it – the end justifies the means. That philosophy is from the pit of hell and anyone who practices it will end up where that philosophy comes from. That is why the world is upside down; anything goes as long as you are not caught. If you can get away with it, you are the smartest. You cannot hide from God. The worst lie is the one you tell yourself; clever by half.
