GOLDEN KEYS FOR OVERCOMING YOUR ADVERSARIES VII

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” 

Romans 12:1, KJV

This is a command, a prescription. Your body is temple for the Holy Spirit so you need to present it properly. You need to sanctify your body. Holy Spirit is holy. He is the spirit of sanctification. You are not to live anyhow as a child of God. Although you are in the world but you are not of the world. Holiness is loving God and going out of your way to do what pleases God not loving God and doing your own thing. It includes loving what God loves and hating what God hates. This is where a lot of people are missing it. You cannot be in a holiness Church and be supporting everything that is evil. True holiness hates evil with passion.

“Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.”

Psalm 139:21-22, KJV

4. Addiction to the word of God.
Have you ever read the Bible from Genesis through Revelation? How can you build your spiritual muscle when you are overfeeding the flesh?

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all (not some) that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” 

Joshua 1:8, KJV

If there is good success, it means there is also bad success. May you succeed to succeed in the name of Jesus. May you start having good success from today in the mighty name of Jesus.

“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” 

Psalm 1:1-3, KJV

Getting addicted to the word of God is a golden key. Do you meditate on the word of God day and night? If you are able to take delivery of what is coded in the word of God, your life ceases to be ordinary. Receive it in the name of Jesus. There is the fire dimension of the word, there is the bread dimension which is for your spiritual muscles. There is the hammer dimension and the sword dimension of the word of God. How can you navigate successfully in a world full of darkness and wickedness without the word of God? The word of God makes you a God-man not just a man of God. If you don’t want your children to be kidnapped by the spirit of this age, inoculate them with the word.

The Bible says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Prov. 22:6). If you are addicted to the word of God, you will be so loaded with the light; light does not need permission from darkness in order to shine. No matter the thickness of darkness, a flicker of light is all it takes to dispel it. There is not enough darkness in the world that can stop the light of God from shining in the life of a child of God who is consecrated and addicted to his presence. You want to have dominion over the world, saturate yourself with the Word. Feast on the Word. Build your spiritual muscle; you need it to lift spiritual weights. Don’t be a spiritual lightweight. It is only those who know the word of God that can rightly say “it is written” (Luke 4:4). After Jesus finished fasting for forty days, then came the devil, he saw it as an auspicious time to tempt him. How was Jesus able to overcome the temptations of the devil in the wilderness? Learn the Word so that you may beat the adversary hands down. The word of the Lord is the sword of the spirit; learn to unleash it against the adversary. When you say, it is written, every voice of the snake will be silenced in the name of Jesus.
