2. Saul disobeyed the instructions of God; outright disobedience.
The moment devaluation happens, disobedience is inevitable and it continues to progress not in the right direction but in the negative direction.

3. Saul sought help from one who had a familiar spirit.
I believe that this was the defining point.

How did Cain become a spiritual vagabond? Through devaluation! Every devaluation starts from the garden of the heart.

1. Worshipping God with an imperfect heart is the easiest way to end up in Endor.
I have never seen anyone involved in this whose life got better. We are not supposed to live by sight but by faith. Usually, you don’t see things the way things are, you see things the way you are! The Bible says, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for thou art with me (Psa. 23:4). Safety is not the absence of danger, it is the presence of God in the midst of it. If you look in the wrong direction, you will always see wrong. If you look down, you will see a pit or grave and all manner of terrible things but when you look up, you will see the glory, you will see the hand of God. The direction you look is where you will receive. You can see this destiny destructive tendency in the Church. The moment you consult a familiar spirit, Holy Spirit leaves because Holy Spirit is the spirit of sanctification.

Every product of devaluation is a manifestation of deep seated ingratitude. Cain gave God rejects because of ingratitude. How do you value your relationship with God? Do you know that the instructions God gives you, he gives out of love? If you understand that it is in your best interest to walk hand in hand with God so that his purpose may be fulfilled in your life, you will celebrate him. That is the true meaning of being a worshipper; you will worship him.

2. Idolatry.
One of the reasons why Endor is always receiving a lot of patronage is because deep down, a lot of people are still very idolatrous in their heart. What is idolatry? Perversion of worship! Anywhere worship is perverted idolatry is manifest. A lot of people have left Egypt but they still have one leg in Egypt. The headquarters of idolatry is spiritual Egypt; so many people are still in spiritual Egypt and that is why syncretism is prevalent.

3. Syncretism is the mixture of spirits.
You are not supposed to patronize these people. Have you ever asked yourself the question – but who is speaking whenever you go to such places? Many people don’t even understand the meaning of a prophet. What is the spirit of prophecy? The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus (Rev. 19:10). Why is idolatry a very serious offence? It is satanic seal that definitely destroys destinies. Every idolater has a place in Rev. 21:8. This is so common in African Churches; mixture of spirits.
