CELEBRATING THE GRACES OF GOD 2D

Once you divine for money, you have gone the way of Balaam. His end was tragic. That is why we need to be careful. Money does not have a character of its own; it assumes the character of its owner. Our heart must not be tied to things that should be under our feet. If you are a money chaser, you cannot make heaven at last. The two are mutually exclusive.

“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” 

Matthew 6:24, KJV

1 Tim. 6:10^A, “For the love of money is the root of all evil”. This is one of the reasons why it is difficult to raise true worshippers today but God is still looking for them. True worship is not cheap. People are so fanatically in love with money today that they cannot be in love with God.

A lot of ministers went into ministry for their belly. It didn’t start today though. It is so easy to go ‘awhoring’. There are so many people in the Church with very terrible spirits. Ministering in the deliverance ministry has opened my eyes to very deep things. The Church accommodates all manner of people. The problem is not coming the way you are, the problem is, are you ready to change? The Church is supposed to be a place where sinners are transformed to saints. But how can they be transformed to saints if the message is that of ‘give’, ‘give’, ‘give’, ‘sow a seed?

The Church and the preacher gets richer and they call it blessing while the people are drifting into idolatry. The cathedral becomes a place where idolaters are being raised. We need to repent! The worst mistake you can make is to shut your ears to a message that can challenge you to change.

What did Judas do with the money he collected in order to betray Jesus? In the final analysis, there is nothing as pleasing as being at the centre of God’s will for your life. There is nothing as pleasing as being at peace with the living God. After all said and done, you will discover that what you actually needed was God himself. If you remove God from the equation, there will be a hole, looking for what to fill it. That hole cannot be filled by trillions of dollars, it can only be filled by God because it is God sized. This understanding should draw you closer to God, you will have the right perspective.

Matt. 6:33 should be a living scripture to every one of us. Become a God chaser and the things that people chase will begin to chase you, money will be under your feet, you will have dominion over mammon. It is good to have money but it is a very terrible thing for money to have you. Worst still, it is a very terrible thing to be a money chaser. If you chase money, you will miss God. God told me early enough in ministry, if you chase gold, you will miss God but if you chase God, you will have gold like dust. The easiest thing that God can give anybody is money.
