If you attend a Church where the emphasis is only on ‘give’ ‘giving’ ‘sow a seed’, watch out! There is nothing wrong with giving and sowing but you should have the right motive and the right connection to God. If you are not careful, you will think that that temptation is the answer to your prayer and you will think that sowing a seed from the proceeds can procure God’s endorsement. In a recent revelation, the Lord showed me a man who went out with a bucket to fetch water; after filling the bucket, suddenly, the water started pouring away, it leaked and leaked and continued leaking until there was only half remaining in the bucket. On realizing the leakage, the man went back to the tap for a refill but when he turned the tap, there was no flow of water, just a few drops. The reason is not farfetched; it is to create hardship and make things unnecessarily hard for people. Obadiah 17, it is written, “But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possession.” Some people allege that they don’t believe in deliverance, all they desire is just to possess their possession. But the order as stated in the Bible is very important; there must be deliverance and holiness before possession. You cannot really practice holiness without deliverance because demons are filthy. Nobody can behold holiness without total deliverance. There must be comprehensive liberation before you can press into possessing your possession.
