TEXT: Psa. 37:1-5

“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”

Verse 4 gives us the key to sweatless answered prayer. It gives the key to what is required of us in order to have all our desires met. Delight yourself in the Lord. You may ask, ‘How do I delight myself in the Lord?’ You delight yourself in the Lord by celebrating the Lord in your heart and by magnifying him in your heart. In addition, you need to fall in love with God over and over again. It sounds simple but that is the key for unlimited blessings and unlimited answered prayers. It is the key to unlimited flow of grace and glory of God. That is the key that unlocks all the blessings that are associated with what God can give. Always remember that whatsoever God has, he has in supernatural abundance. Anything he can give, he has in infinity raised to power infinity over zero. He cannot be limited. The only thing that can limit God is you; if you fail to comply with his standards.

The essence of our fasting is for us to come closer to our God, the essence of setting our heart to seek his face is so that we will know him better; enter into a consolidated relationship with him and strengthen our love for him. Once we are able to fulfil that condition, before we ask, the answers will be there because he knows the desires of our heart. All the desires of our heart will become answered prayer. May we find it convenient and needful to always delight ourselves in the Lord. May we live the rest of our lives delighting ourselves in him in Jesus name. This is the greatest decision you can make.

Pray –

  • Lord, help me to always delight myself in you so that all the desires of my heart will be met. As I delight myself in you, let all the desires of my heart be met to the glory and praise and honor of your name.
  • In line with your word in Psa. 37:4, help me in the name of Jesus Christ to always delight myself in you. Thank you blessed Lord.
