Jesus is still looking for fruits. Remember what he did to the fruitless fig tree. Can you find any fruit of the Holy Spirit in a lion? No! A sister went for choir practice some time ago and as she came out of the Church, a ‘snake’ waylaid her, packed a beautiful car beside her and beckoned on her. The sister, probably thinking that she had found a potential husband, responded. Eventually, she succumbed to his antics and entered into his car. It is erroneous to substitute the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ with any other symbol of our redemption. The Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the greatest symbol of dominion, not only over sin but over self, satan and all is wiles, over sickness, disease, death, and hell, over poverty, scarcity, and lack. Some denominations have replaced the Dove with Eagle, while some have substituted the Lamb with Lion as a symbol of dominion. Whenever they want to refer to power, they use lion as metaphor.
