Another reason Jesus came is to give us eternal life. John 3:16. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” Eph 1:7 Thank God that it is according to the riches of his grace not our grace that we have redemption, that we have forgiveness of sins. The word, redemption come from the four powerful Greek words; Pistuo which means price, Egorazo which means enter market, exagoraso which means to exit the market and Lutro which means to be set free. The greatest mistake anyone can make is to think that God is a fifty percenter and that is the level a lot of people are operating even in the church. Give a church-going person an assignment, he will reduce it to fifty percent. In fact, he will do it less than fifty percent and I will be wondering why. In our physical endeavor, do we operate like that? Whenever it comes to the standards of God, people do it anyhow. Look at attendance to meetings that starts by 7pm, some people will come by 8:30pm.
