Christianity is not a title; it is a lifestyle. To be a Christian is to be a person who is disciplined in following Jesus Christ. A disciple is a disciplined follower of Christ and the divine prescription for this is the cross. You must be a person who knows about the cross, regularly visits it, and carries it. Jesus said if you want to be my disciple, take up the cross and follow me daily (Luke 9:23).

Pray –

• Lord, I thank you for all you have done for me. Let your glory be revealed in every facet of my life in the name of Jesus.
• Lord, I align my will to your purposive will. Help me to walk with you in Jesus’ name.

3. Understand the weapons of your warfare.

a.  The name of Jesus (CONT’D).
Before you can know the weapons of your warfare, you need to know the nature of the warfare. Part of this is – knowing your adversary. If you don’t know the adversary, you cannot be an overcomer. If you don’t discern, you cannot disarm. That is one of the reasons why the Church in this nation made a mistake and entered into an avoidable trap. A lot of people have been defeated as a result of this. When people are in the dark, they embrace their enemies and reject their divine helpers. They crucify their redeemer and embrace their enemies; that is part of what darkness brings on people. Study 2 Cor. 10:3-6. Wickedness operates in satanic strongholds. The more you understand the weapons of your warfare the more victorious you are likely to be. It is not in the accumulation of the weapons of spiritual warfare, you may know all the weapons but if you don’t know how to deploy them, you may still become a victim of spiritual wickedness. You can climb the ecclesiastical ladder, it does not matter, if don’t know how to use these weapons, you may become a casualty. The environment is very wicked.

Note that spiritual warfare is not fought with rubber bullet. The Bible says that we do not war after the flesh, take this word seriously. A lot of people are engaged in useless wars. Every ‘civil war’ is a useless war. The devil specializes in causing ‘civil wars’ in homes of Christians; he will pitch a brother against his sister, pitch husband against the wife and so on. The moment you get into the mode of ‘civil war’, you stop getting the right result spiritually. Who is entertained in a ‘civil war’? Satan! Keep the battle spiritual because that is where it matters most. Anything that overwhelms you spiritually has finished you. A lot of people are not spiritually active; like Adam, they are sleeping. Where was Adam when the snake entered the garden? If you know the people running many Christian homes today, you will marvel. Maids have taken over homes of many; they raise their altars in these homes and manipulate things. Your spiritual warfare is directly proportion to your welfare. Your welfare is directly proportional to the intensity of your spiritual warfare. When people are docile spiritually, they suffer defeat in their dreams while physically they move around as if all is well. By the time you understand how to use the weapons of spiritual warfare, you will become a terror to the kingdom of darkness. No witch will be able to operate in your environment; no coven of darkness will be active where you are. That is what God wants us to be.
